TaxStone was in court in New York on Tuesday to answer to murder charges a twenty-four hours after his abort.
The "Tax Flavor" radio host, born Daryl Campbell, was arraigned and held on a $500,000 bond. A twenty-four hours after his abort, NYPD dropped a bombshell that his DNA was institute on the murder weapon that killed Troy Ave's bodyguard and close friend Ronald McPhatter at the infamous shooting at T.I.'s concert at the Irving Plaza.
Campbell was only charged with possession of a firearm by a felon but is expected to be charged with murder given the mounting evidence against him. Prosecutors told the judge that the radio hosts repeatedly mocked Troy Ave on his show and oft made disparaging statement against the rapper, DNAinfo reported.
Investigators used social media to link TaxStone to the murder.
Investigators also revealed that social media helped them to link TaxStone to the murder of McPhatter. Detective Flores says he identified a human being from Florida who brought the 9mm Kel-Tec semiautomatic handgun to New York using a photo on social media. The same human appeared in photos with TaxStone. "I know from my review of social media, including photographs depicting the two together, among other prove, that [the human who brought the gun to New York] is an associate of Daryl Campbell, aka 'Taxstone,' the defendant."
The handgun is the same weapon that Troy Ave discharged inside a room backstage the concert, equally shown on video surveillance. The New York rapper, who was a suspect in the murder example, was also shot in is leg during the incident. Troy Ave was also shot multiple times on Christmas Mean solar day last year while visiting some family members in Brooklyn. It's not even so known if TaxStone is connected to that latest attempt at the rapper's life.
